John: I haven't seen this much rain in years! 我 多 年 没 见 过 这 么 大 的 雨 了！
Clare: I think the river will flood soon if this keeps up... 如 果 这 样 继 续 下 去， 我 想 河 水 要 泛 滥 了……
John: Yeah, I've thought about that. It'd be pretty bad for everybody. 是 的， 我 也 曾 这 样 想 过。 那 将 对 每 个 人 都 太 糟 了。
Clare: And they say it's not gonna let up for a couple more weeks. 而 且 他 们 说 这 雨 还 得 几 个 礼 拜 停 不 了。
John: That's terrible. I can't believe it, I mean our Februaries in the past have been mild. 太 可 怕 了。 我 真 不 敢 相 信， 我 的 意 思 是 往 年 的 二 月 总 是 很 温 和。
Clare: Even my grandparents say this is more rain than they've ever seen! 甚 至 我 的 祖 父 母 都 说 他 们 从 未 见 过 这 么 大 的 雨。
John: I've heard the flood in 1963 was bad, but if this continues, it could do a lot of damage. 我 曾 听 说 过1963年 的 水 灾 很 厉 害， 可 如 果 这 样 继 续 下 下 去， 将 会 造 成 更 大 的 灾 害。
Clare: Yeah, I just feel bad for the farmers... 是 的， 农 民 更 苦 了 ……
