金巴利英语口语第 82 课: Where did they register? 他们在哪登记的？

Yi-jun: C'mon, guys. Stop talking and help the foreigner here. What's my gift? 好了，各位。别再闲聊了，来帮帮外国人吧。我该送什么？

Holly: Well, you're not a family member, so you can pass on the big things like
silverware or pots and pans. 嗯，你不是家庭成员，所以你不用送大礼，譬如银餐具或锅盆之类的。

Yi-jun: But I've known them since you guys introduced me. What about some wine or picture frames? 可是经过你们介绍，我早就认识他们了。送酒或是相框如何？

Holly: Ooh, those are good. Or a vase with flowers, pen sets, cookbooks... 喔，那些很好。或是一瓶花、笔组、食谱……

Yi-jun: I've got it! Let's chip in and get them luggage or something expensive! 我想到了！我们合资，然后买个皮箱或是贵一点的东西！

Taylor: Count me out. I already put something on their registry. 别把我算进去。我已经在他们的礼物清单上登记了。

Holly: Isn't that almost the same as giving cash? 那跟给现金有什么不一样？

Taylor: Well, yeah, but it's easy. And I know they'll get something they want. 嗯，是啊，不过方便多了。而且我可以确定他们会拿到他们想要的东西。

Holly: I guess so. Where did they register? 大概吧。他们在哪登记的？

Taylor: Macy's and Felicite.com. 梅西百货和 ‘恭喜网’。

Holly: [To Yi-jun] We could do that, too. But I say we go halves on the bags. （对怡君）我们也可以那样做。不过这么吧，我们来合买行李箱。

Yi-jun: Where were you, Holly? We were supposed to pick out luggage? 你跑哪儿了，荷莉？我们本来该一起去挑行李箱的？

Holly: I'm sorry, Yi-jun. I had a fitting for my bridesmaid dress and lost track of time. 对不起，怡君。我去试伴娘的衣服，忘了时间。

Yi-jun: Well, I picked without you. Here's a flyer of what we got. 嗯，我自己选了。这里有一张广告传单，上面就是我们买的那个。

Holly: That looks perfect! Don't forget to let me know what I owe you. 看起来很棒！别忘了告诉我要给你多少钱。

Yi-jun: We can go and pay for it together tomorrow. Tell me about your dress. 明天我们可以一起去付钱。说说你的衣服吧。

Holly: It's gorgeous. Powder blue, full-length, with a high neck. 那真是美极了。粉蓝色，高领长礼服。
